Mental Health Issues Concerning Young People

First of all I must say something about what happened on Monday.

We are all hearing the same things now about the person who did

the shooting. The only thing that I have to add is that we as adults

and parents must do a better job with all of our children or else our

society will be over run with lost, wayward young people. Just as

the young woman in the Duke case and the same with the Virginia

Tech shooter - these young people had serious mental health issues.

Those problems started when they were living at home with their parents.

Secondly, it seems to me while we are on the alert for terrorists we

also have to be on the alert for your average looking person walking

among us who is about to explode. The signs were there. From now

on anytime a man is known to stalk women he should be forced into

some type of therapy or counseling on a longterm basis. I'm sure the

politicians can legislate this the same way other issues are legislated.
