Month of the Military Child

"To celebrate and acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices made by our military children, April has been designated the Month of the Military Child. Former Secretary of Defense Casper Weinberger established the Month of the Military Child in 1986 as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of providing military children with quality services and support to help them adjust and succeed in today's mobile and highly deployable military lifestyle."
